Jakarta, INTI - Ayar Labs, the company that specializes in co-packaged optics (CPO) solutions for AI scale-up, stated on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, that it has secured $500 million in Series E funding round at a valuation of $3.75 billion.
The round, which was led by Neuberger Berman, brought in new investors for Ayar Labs, including AIchip Technologies, ARK Invest, Insight Partners, MediaTek, Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Sequoia Global Equities, and 1789 Capital. The funding round brings Ayar Labs’ total funding to $870 million.
The company mentioned that MediaTek and AIchip Technologies' participation in the investment will strengthen Ayar Labs’ alignment with key custom ASIC design ecosystem.
Ayar Labs Plans With Its Fund
The company is planning to use the funds to increase production volume and speed up its technology development. As well as expanding its operations globally, with its office in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
Ayar Labs’ funding proved that interest in AI sector investment remains strong. Venture capital and private equity firms continue to invest in the technology, leading to a steady flow of funding for companies providing AI infrastructure.
In the market, Ayar competes with other players such as Celestial AI, which secured $250 million in funding last March. Additionally, there are Lumentum (LITE.O) and Coherent (COHR.N), which each secured $2 billion in investments from Nvidia on Monday.
