The sell-out event Ameca: A Robot’s Journey to Creation featured workshops, exhibits, and talks at Truro College, where festival-goers could see the robot up close for the first time. Many were stunned by its expressive range, while others found its realistic features concerning.

To avoid the ‘Uncanny Valley’ effect, Jackson noted they intentionally made the robot not overly human-like, striking a balance to ensure public comfort.
