Jakarta, INTI - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (TLKM) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global cybersecurity company CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) to advance data protection and AI-driven digital security transformation in Indonesia.
The collaboration combines CrowdStrike’s AI-native Falcon® platform with Telkom’s extensive infrastructure reach and broad customer base across both the public and private sectors.
Under the agreement, the state-owned telecommunications company plans to standardize its cybersecurity defense systems using the Falcon platform while exploring the development of managed security services to support secure AI adoption across corporate environments.
CrowdStrike Vice President and Managing Director for Japan and Asia Pacific Jonathon Dixon said the rapid adoption of AI requires organizations to take a new approach to addressing increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
“AI is transforming how organizations operate and approach cybersecurity. Telkom shares our commitment to securing the future of AI in Indonesia by delivering AI-powered protection and security for AI to organizations driving digital transformation,” Jonathon said in an official statement cited on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Joint Team to Develop AI Security Solutions
As a concrete step under the partnership, the two companies plan to establish a joint team focused on developing defense solutions capable of securing AI agents, models, and systems.
The initiative will include efforts to promote the adoption of Falcon AI Detection and Response (AIDR), designed to provide comprehensive visibility and runtime enforcement across endpoints and the broader enterprise ecosystem.
Telkom Indonesia Director of Strategic Business Development & Portfolio Seno Soemadji said the partnership is aimed at strengthening the technical capabilities of Telkom’s security analysts and teams in responding to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
“Through our collaboration with CrowdStrike, we aim to help organizations strengthen their cybersecurity through proven capabilities designed to address the speed and sophistication of today’s attacks,” Seno said.
He added that the partnership is also intended to build long-term cyber resilience, including preparing for emerging security risks associated with new technologies such as advances in AI and quantum computing.
