Telkom Launches Agentic AI by BigBox to Support National Industrial Transformation

1 hour ago | Artificial Intelligence

Jakarta, INTI - Telkom Indonesia officially launched Agentic AI by BigBox, a next-generation artificial intelligence platform to accelerate digital transformation through intelligent automation, business process integration, and data-driven decision-making.

The launch was led by the Chief of IT Digital at Telkom Indonesia, Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, and the EGM Digital Product at Telkom, Komang Budi Aryasa, at the ITD Summit in Bandung on April 23.

As an evolution of conventional AI, this platform not only provides insights but also executes semi-automated to automated actions. Its capabilities include cross-system workflow orchestration, end-to-end data integration, and increased operational efficiency at the enterprise level.

"We designed Telkom Agentic AI not just as an AI tool, but as a digital platform capable of working and executing. This is our step to encourage organizations to become faster, more integrated, and more adaptive in facing the dynamics of digital business," said Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi.

AI Center of Excellence’s 5 Pillars

This launch is part of the strengthening of the AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE), which has five pillars: AI Campus, AI Playground, AI Connect, AI Hub, and AI Native. Within this ecosystem, Agentic AI by BigBox plays a strategic role in the AI Hub pillar as a ready-to-implement solution for industry needs.

Unlike conversational AI, which tends to be reactive, Agentic AI is capable of working more autonomously to complete complex tasks. This system can break down work into structured stages, manage execution through specialist agents, conduct self-evaluation, and securely integrate with external systems.

To expand adoption, Telkom introduced AgentLab, a drag-and-drop platform that enables business functions such as finance, HR, and legal to design AI solutions without in-depth technical expertise. Its implementation supports IT system integration, cost efficiency, business process automation, as well as improved customer experience and predictive decision-making.

Komang Budi Aryasa added that this innovation reflects the future of human-technology collaboration. In addition to increasing efficiency, Agentic AI by BigBox also strengthens national data sovereignty with its domestic processing.

Telkom Indonesia launched Agentic AI by BigBox, an AI platform capable of not only providing insights but also automatically executing tasks to improve business efficiency and integration. This solution is part of the AI Center of Excellence initiative and is designed to support process automation, data-driven decision-making, and cross-system integration. This technology is intended for enterprise customers to improve operations and customer experience, and it also strengthens national data sovereignty with its domestic processing.
