Jakarta, INTI - NVIDIA is strengthening its role in developing Indonesia’s digital talent by partnering with several universities to introduce artificial intelligence (AI)-based computing technologies. This initiative also features the NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 50 Series, the latest line of GPUs designed to support student learning, research, and creative productivity.
Accelerating Industrial Innovation Through AI and GPU Computing
The academic collaborations took place in Batam with Politeknik Negeri Batam and Universitas Internasional Batam from January 7–9, 2026. In Padang, NVIDIA partnered with Politeknik Negeri Padang and Universitas Putra Indonesia (YPTK) from January 12–14, 2026.
These activities are part of the digital literacy program called “RTX AI PC Day”, targeting approximately 5,000 students and academics. The program is conducted in collaboration with local retail partners, including PT Karya Mura Niaga and Hypro Computer in Batam, and JBROS Computer in Padang.
During the events, NVIDIA hosted technology presentations, discussions, workshops, and product demonstrations featuring laptops from brands such as Acer, Axioo, and HP, as well as desktops from ASUS, Colorful, GALAX, Gigabyte, Grainward, MSI, and ZOTAC. All devices are powered by the GeForce RTX™ 50 Series GPUs, built on NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell architecture.
Country Consumer Business Lead NVIDIA Indonesia, Adrian Lesmono, stated that modern GPUs have become a crucial component in global AI development. According to him, the computational power of GPUs enables complex AI data and models to be processed locally.
“With GPUs like the RTX 50 Series, students and educational institutions can perform AI computations that were previously difficult to achieve with traditional CPUs. This opens up broader opportunities for innovation within the academic environment,” he said.
During the discussion, the speakers highlighted the growing use of AI in the education sector. AI is not only applied in generative applications but also for personalized learning, campus administrative management, large-scale research data analysis, and real-time engineering and science simulations.
AI technology is also recognized for its role in developing smart campuses, including vision AI-based security systems, energy management, and academic service chatbots accessible to students 24/7. The support of the latest RTX series GPUs enables AI processing to be performed directly on personal devices without full reliance on central servers.
Beyond the education sector, AI has been widely applied across industries, from automotive design and healthcare to manufacturing automation and creative content production. The combination of AI and GPUs is seen as a way to accelerate workflows and experimentation that previously required significant time.
Through collaborations with universities and retail partners, NVIDIA reaffirms its commitment to promoting AI adoption and strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesia’s digital talent, preparing them to meet global industry demands.
Conclusion
The integration of AI and GPU technologies is transforming both education and industry by enabling faster, more efficient, and more accessible innovation. Through strategic collaborations with universities and retail partners, NVIDIA continues to play a key role in accelerating AI adoption while preparing Indonesia’s digital talent to compete and thrive in the global technology landscape.
