SKK Migas Launches AI Hackathon to Empower National Digital Talent

Jakarta, INTI - The national-level Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning Hackathon organized by SKK Migas together with upstream oil and gas contractors (KKKS) received strong enthusiasm from both industry players and academia, attracting around 700 participants. The competition featured 65 proposals from KKKS and 102 proposals submitted by participants from 27 universities across Indonesia.

The competition served as a platform for developing AI-based innovations aimed at addressing challenges in the upstream oil and gas industry and other strategic sectors. Participants developed various AI application and system prototypes, which were presented directly before a panel of judges consisting of industry professionals, academics, and researchers.

Strengthening Indonesia’s Digital Collaboration Ecosystem 

As the energy sector continues to evolve, innovation has become one of the key drivers in tackling future challenges.

Through the AI & Machine Learning Hackathon, SKK Migas and KKKS created a collaborative space for young innovators, academics, and professionals to showcase creative technology-driven ideas. The event also highlighted strong participation from various regions and backgrounds, reflecting the growing spirit of digital collaboration across Indonesia.
