Jakarta, INTI - Rano Karno emphasized that artificial intelligence (AI) technology should be introduced to MSMEs to help business owners better understand market demands and grow their businesses more effectively.
AI Considered Helpful for MSME Market Analysis
Rano Karno explained that AI technology can assist entrepreneurs in identifying the market potential of products, including opportunities in international markets.
“I happen to have a team focused on AI discussions. I think this place has the potential to hold AI training programs for young people, especially with MSMEs involved,” Rano said during his visit to RT 11 RW 07 Gandaria Utara, Kebayoran Baru on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
According to him, AI is capable of processing market data, allowing MSME players to identify products that are in demand across different regions.
He gave the example of shrimp chips, saying AI technology could be used to analyze where such products have the strongest market potential.
“Where do shrimp chips sell well? The data is there,” he stated.
Rano also stressed that AI introduction and education should begin early, as technological development is unavoidable.
Gandaria Utara Develops Digital MSMEs
Imam Basori, Head of RT 11 RW 07 Gandaria Utara, stated that the community is currently developing a digital-based program called “Warung RT 11 Smart” to support local MSMEs.
“In addition, we already have RT 11 Smart. This is RT 11’s community store, but it will also be digitally integrated with MSMEs, and we aim to maximize it for the community,” Imam Basori explained.
The initiative is expected to help improve economic circulation within the densely populated neighborhood.
“Hopefully, it can eventually provide additional income for residents,” he added.
The Jakarta Provincial Government continues to encourage the digital transformation of MSMEs as part of efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of small businesses amid rapid technological advancements.
