Jakarta, Indonesia Technology & Innovation (INTI) – The Indonesia Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) is set to host the Indonesia Internet Expo & Summit (IIXS) 2025, Southeast Asia’s largest digital exhibition, from October 28 - 30, 2025, at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Kemayoran. With the theme “Digital Downstream: Powering Indonesia Digital Transformation”, IIXS 2025 is expected to become a key milestone in advancing digital innovation downstream and ensuring equitable internet access as the foundation of Indonesia’s digital economy in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).
Since its establishment in 1996, APJII has been the leading organization representing and advocating for the national internet industry. Currently, APJII comprises over 1,300 internet service providers (ISPs) across Indonesia and plays a vital role in developing national digital infrastructure, shaping technology-based regulations, and building an inclusive, secure, and globally competitive internet ecosystem.
As APJII’s flagship event, IIXS 2025 serves as a strategic collaboration platform that brings together regulators, telecommunications operators, global technology vendors, researchers, investors, startups, academics, and digital communities. Beyond being an international-scale technology exhibition, IIXS will also serve as a policy dialogue forum, a business matchmaking hub, and a showcase for cutting-edge technological innovations.
APJII Chairman Muhammad Arif emphasized that IIXS 2025 reflects APJII’s concrete commitment to strengthening national digital sovereignty. “We dedicate IIXS 2025 as a shared platform for industry, government, and society to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global digital economy. Digital transformation is not just about technology; it is about sovereignty, equitable access, and national economic sustainability,” Arif stated.
Indonesia Technology & Innovation (INTI) Director Hendri Bunardy added that INTI plays a crucial role as APJII’s strategic partner in organizing IIXS 2025. “INTI provides APJII with a consistent, international-scale annual exhibition, allowing the association to focus on fulfilling its mandate. Through IIXS, we aim to deliver a premier digital event that unites industry players, regulators, and global innovators on a single platform,” Hendri explained.
According to Arif, IIXS 2025 also marks an important milestone in realizing digital downstream and optimizing the potential of national research and technological innovation. “Digital downstream means translating research, technology development, and infrastructure projects into tangible benefits for society, industry, and the nation. Through IIXS 2025, we facilitate interactions among global vendors, local actors, regulators, investors, and startups within a productive ecosystem,” Arif added.
Hendri further noted that IIXS 2025 is a benchmark for global confidence in Indonesia. “With the participation of 927 exhibitors from 18 countries and an expanded exhibition area of 13,000 sqm, IIXS 2025 demonstrates that Indonesia is ready to compete globally and has the potential to become the gateway for digital technology investment in Southeast Asia,” he said.
This represents a significant increase compared to IIXS 2024, which featured 517 exhibitors from 15 countries and covered 10,000 sqm. Arif emphasized that this growth is more than numbers it is international recognition of Indonesia’s strategic position. “The world now sees Indonesia not only as a large market but also as a hub for digital innovation and a key driver of Southeast Asia’s technology economy,” he stressed.
This year, IIXS 2025 is projected to attract over 30,000 visitors from diverse sectors, including telecommunications operators, ISPs, academics, tech communities, startups, investors, and digital MSMEs. Beyond the technology exhibition, business matchmaking sessions will be a major focus, connecting digital solution providers with strategic partners and potential users. The event will also feature showcases of cutting-edge technology, including 5G, AI, cloud computing, and sustainable data center infrastructure to support accelerated national digital transformation.
Arif also highlighted challenges that need to be addressed in the era of rapid AI adoption and global digital transformation. “AI growth will drive an exponential surge in data traffic. Therefore, we need to ensure resilient, secure, and adaptive networks to meet future challenges, including cybersecurity threats and smarter infrastructure needs,” he explained.
Hendri reaffirmed that the success of IIXS 2025 depends on synergy among all stakeholders. “The participation of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi), Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), BRIN, BSSN, global vendors, telecommunications operators, data center providers, and tech startups will make IIXS 2025 a strategic forum for aligning national digital policies with global technology trends,” Hendri concluded.
In closing, Arif emphasized APJII’s grand vision through IIXS 2025. “IIXS 2025 is not just a technology exhibition; it is a strategic stage to unify the vision of Indonesia’s digital industry. This is the time to build a strong, inclusive, and globally competitive digital ecosystem in Indonesia,” Arif said.
Indonesia Internet Expo & Summit (IIXS) 2025 invites all stakeholders from government agencies, private companies, industry associations, academics, tech communities, startups, and investors to the general public to actively participate in shaping the future of Indonesia’s digital ecosystem.
