Polda Metro Jaya Encourages More Sophisticated Public Relations Through AI Technology

Jakarta, INTI – In facing communication challenges in the digital era, the Public Relations Division (Bidhumas) of Polda Metro Jaya is taking progressive steps by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI). This step is taken to answer the need for faster, more accurate, and adaptive communication to the times. The utilization of AI is a new strategy in enhancing The Republic of Indonesian Police (Polri's) public relations role as a bridge between the institution and the wider community.

Adaptation of Public Relations in the Digital Era

This was conveyed directly by the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi, during the monthly analysis and evaluation (anev) meeting held at Polda Metro Jaya on Thursday, June 12, 2025. The meeting was also attended by public relations representative from various levels, ranging from resort police to sector police in the ranks of metro jaya police

In his direction,  Police Commissioner (Kombes) Ade Ary emphasized that public relations personnel must begin to recognize and utilize various AI-based technologies such as ChatGPT, Deepseek, WhatsApp META AI, and Android Gemini. According to him, AI is no longer a technology of the future, but a working tool of today that can be utilized to compile press releases, improve the quality of communication, and speed up the process of publishing information to the public.

AI to Improve the Quality of Public Relations Human Resources

One of the biggest challenges in the field of police public relations today is the gap in personnel's abilities, especially in processing information quickly and effectively. AI technology comes as a solution to bridge the gap.

"Public relations is the link between The Republic of Indonesian Police (Polri) and the community. Even though we are from the millennial generation, we must be technologically literate and not be left behind, especially now that there are many AI platforms that we can use as needed," Ade Ary explained.

With this approach, it is hoped that all personnel, regardless of technical background or experience, can increase their capacity independently and productively in carrying out public relations tasks.

Polda Metro Jaya shows a strong commitment in facing the digital era by encouraging public relations transformation based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Through the direction of the Head of Public Relations, Kombes Ade Ary, all public relations personnel are encouraged to utilize various AI platforms to improve the effectiveness of communication, information preparation, and public services. This step not only answers the challenge of human resource imbalance, but also strengthens the role of public relations as an active link between the Police and the community. Strengthened by the appreciation of outstanding personnel, this transformation is a real step towards a more modern, responsive and relevant public relations.
