Jakarta, INTI – American tech company Nvidia and Taiwanese manufacturing giant Foxconn are gearing up for a major breakthrough in the manufacturing industry. The two are reportedly planning to deploy humanoid robots machines that resemble and behave like humans to assemble AI servers at a new factory in Houston, Texas.
According to an exclusive report by Reuters on Monday, June 22, 2025, this collaboration marks the first time Nvidia will produce its AI servers using humanoid robots. For Foxconn, this will also be its first production line powered by AI servers.
Production Set to Begin in Early 2026
Although specific details regarding the robots such as their type, form, or quantity remain undisclosed, internal sources reveal that the companies aim to begin operations with humanoid robots in the first quarter of 2026. This coincides with the launch of Foxconn's new Houston plant, where Nvidia's latest AI server, the GB300, will be manufactured.

In-House and Partner-Made Robots
Foxconn is currently developing its own humanoid robots through its subsidiary, Industrial Internet. Leo Guo, General Manager of Foxconn's Robotics Business Unit, stated that two versions of humanoid robots will be showcased at the company's annual tech event this November. One version will have legs and be able to walk, while the other will move autonomously using wheels, which is said to be more cost-efficient.
Meanwhile, Nvidia has tested humanoid robots developed by China's UBTech, which could potentially be used in this project.
