Jakarta, INTI - The Ministry of Industry is strengthening Indonesia’s digital ecosystem through collaboration with Apple by expanding the Apple Developer Academy and establishing the Apple Developer Institute in the country.
Strategic Collaboration to Develop Digital Talent
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita stated that this partnership is part of the government’s effort to accelerate the development of digital talent and innovation-driven industries.
He explained that the agreement includes the expansion of Apple Developer Academies, the establishment of Apple Developer Institutes, as well as research and development initiatives and various supporting programs.
The launch of the fifth Apple Developer Academy and five Apple Developer Institutes in Jakarta marks a key milestone in the ongoing collaboration between the government and Apple.
According to him, the government appreciates Apple’s consistency in delivering on its commitments, reflecting a strong dedication to the Indonesian market.
Supporting Innovation and Industry Needs
The program is expected to support nearly 1,000 students annually starting in 2026, offering training in coding, design, marketing, as well as advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and game development.
The Minister highlighted that graduates from these programs will have strong added value to support the growth of Indonesia’s digital industry.
He emphasized that the government is confident these graduates will play a significant role in advancing the national digital economy.
In addition, various innovations developed by local talents were showcased, ranging from energy management solutions to AI-based applications for small and medium enterprises.
This initiative demonstrates the strong potential of Indonesian talent in creating adaptive and globally competitive technology solutions.
