5 months ago | Data Center and Cloud Computing

Jakarta, INTI – The challenge of unintegrated and outdated government data has become a critical issue in policymaking. To address this, Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs (Menkomdigi) Meutya Hafid has established a special internal team tasked with overseeing the One Data Indonesia (SDI) program at the national level. This initiative was announced during the One Data Indonesia 2025 Steering Committee Meeting held at the Bappenas Building, Menteng, on Wednesday August 20, 2025, aiming to ensure government data remains accurate, secure, and effectively accessible.

Strategic Team to Ensure Data Integrity
Menkomdigi emphasized that the success of SDI depends heavily on the quality and timeliness of data. "To ensure work quality, we have prepared a team from the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs to strengthen the performance of One Data Indonesia," she said. The team consists of strategic positions, including the Director of Digital Government Strategy and Policy, Director of Digital Government Infrastructure, Director of Digital Government Applications, Director of Digital Space Oversight Strategy and Policy, and Director of Digital Space Control, focusing on data security.

Enhancing Data Availability, Quality, and Security
Meutya added that the team will help improve the availability, quality, and security of SDI-managed data. "SDI data must be easy to share and uphold personal data protection standards," she stressed. With a more structured oversight, the data presented is expected to serve as a credible reference for all government agencies.

Active Role of Central and Regional Agencies is Crucial
To ensure that SDI data remains current, Meutya encouraged all central and regional agencies managing SDI data to regularly update their information. The active participation of each agency is key to ensuring the One Data Indonesia program operates optimally and meets national data integrity standards.

SDI as the Foundation for Government Digital Transformation
One Data Indonesia is a government data governance policy aimed at creating high-quality data that is easily accessible and shareable among central and regional agencies. Under Presidential Regulation No. 39 of 2019, SDI is expected to become the foundation for a more inclusive and sustainable digital government, enhancing public service quality and the effectiveness of decision-making.

Conclusion
The formation of this special team by Menkomdigi demonstrates the government’s commitment to strengthening national data governance. This step ensures that One Data Indonesia becomes not only a credible data reference but also the cornerstone of a more modern, transparent, and technology-driven government.
