Jakarta, INTI - PT Mekari is strengthening artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities throughout its software ecosystem as part of its strategy to address increasingly complex business digitalization needs while expanding the market to the enterprise segment.
CEO of Mekari, Suwandi Soh, said the company has integrated Mekari Airene, an AI layer developed internally, into its entire product line. This technology is applied to various solutions, ranging from human resources management, accounting, taxation, electronic signatures, to company expense management.
According to Suwandi, Mekari Airene is not just an additional feature, but rather a layer of intelligence embedded throughout the Mekari application ecosystem to support various business processes as a whole.
"We developed Mekari Airene as an AI layer that is integrated throughout the Mekari ecosystem so that customers can utilize AI to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and the quality of decision making," he said in an official statement on Monday, August 3, 2026.
He explained that Mekari Airene was designed to be able to understand the operational context of each customer because it works directly in the business workflow, starting from payroll, bookkeeping, contracts, to taxation. With this approach, the resulting recommendations are considered more relevant than AI models that only rely on general data.
Infrastructure Strengthening
Mekari is also strengthening its infrastructure and service portfolio to serve enterprise-scale companies. Capabilities that were previously focused on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are now being enhanced to be able to meet the needs of organizations with more complex systems, both in terms of scalability, security, and integration.
COO of Mekari, Arvy Ergadipoera, said this capability strengthening was part of the company's evolution that grows with its customers.
"Mekari's journey has led us to develop together with thousands of business actors in Indonesia. Now we are strengthening our capabilities to serve enterprise-scale companies through investment in technology, infrastructure, and services," he said.
In addition to AI development, Mekari also continues to improve data security aspects as part of its business strategy. The company has obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for information security management systems and is registered as an Electronic Systems Operator (PSE) with the Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs. This effort is aimed at strengthening customer trust, especially large companies that require high standards of security and data governance in carrying out digital transformation.
Conclusion
PT Mekari is strengthening its AI capabilities across its software ecosystem through the integration of Mekari Airene, an internally developed AI layer to support various business processes, from HR, accounting, taxation, e-signatures, to expense management. The AI is designed to understand customers' operational contexts, generating more relevant recommendations and helping improve efficiency, productivity, and decision-making quality.
