Jakarta, INTI – A concrete step toward national technology independence was demonstrated through the launch of Semesta AI 2025, a program by Lintasarta, a technology company under Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) Group, in collaboration with NVIDIA Inception. This initiative aims to support and accelerate the growth of artificial intelligence (AI)-based startups in Indonesia while strengthening the foundation of the local digital economy.

According to Bayu Hanantasena, President Director & CEO of Lintasarta, Semesta AI is more than just an incubation platform it is a real acceleration and collaboration initiative that opens access to cutting-edge technology, professional mentorship, and strategic partnerships. “Our goal is not only to speed up AI technology development, but also to foster lasting impact for Indonesia’s digital economy,” said Bayu during the kick-off event held at Lintasarta headquarters on Thursday, 24,May.
Intensive Curriculum for Local AI-Based Solutions
Since registration opened at the end of 2024, Semesta AI has received a positive response from Indonesia’s startup ecosystem, with 155 startups from across the country signing up. Following a rigorous selection process, 50 startups were shortlisted 20 selected for an intensive mentoring program, while the other 30 will receive technical guidance for developing AI-based solutions.
Throughout the program, participants will undergo a focused curriculum emphasizing the development of local use case-based AI solutions in key sectors such as finance, manufacturing, healthcare, and public services. The program will conclude with the selection of the Top Ten Semesta AI, where the 10 best startups will receive GPU Merdeka incentives and partnership opportunities with Lintasarta’s network of over 2,300 corporate clients.
Access to Technology and Strategic Collaboration
Semesta AI provides several strategic benefits, including access to NVIDIA’s accelerated computing technology, one-on-one coaching by AI professionals, and collaboration opportunities with top industry players. Bayu also highlighted that selected startups would receive up to USD 15,000 in GPU Merdeka vouchers.
“We aim to take a significant leap forward in preparing Indonesia’s digital ecosystem to compete on a global level,” Bayu added.
