Komdigi Launches Tunasdigital.id to Help Parents Protect Children in the Digital Space

56 years ago | Digital Technology

Jakarta, INTI - Ministry of Communication and Digital has launched the Tunasdigital.id website as a reference platform for the public, providing guidance on how parents can protect children while they interact in the digital environment.

Director General of Public Communication and Media at the ministry, Fifi Aleyda Yahya, said the platform was developed to help parents better understand how to guide children in using technology responsibly and safely.

“Tunasdigital.id is a reaffirmation of the government’s presence in protecting children in the digital space. This website is designed as an easy-to-understand reference for parents and families on how to guide children in the digital era,” she said.

Practical Guidance for Parents

The platform provides practical information for parents on how to identify risks related to harmful digital content and understand age-appropriate limits for applications and online games.

Parents can also find advice on how to accompany children when using digital devices so that their online activities remain healthy and safe.

“Tunasdigital.id serves as a knowledge channel for parents to understand how to guide children in the digital age. It is not intended to restrict children from using technology, but to delay access until they are truly ready,” she added.

The website also features recommendations for age-appropriate applications and games, along with guidance on how to select safe digital content for children.

Supporting Online Child Protection Policies

Tunasdigital.id was introduced during the event titled “Safe and Healthy Digital Use from an Early Age” held in Jakarta in November 2025.

The platform supports the implementation of the Ministerial Regulation of Communication and Digital Affairs No. 9 of 2026, which outlines the enforcement of Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 concerning the governance of electronic system providers for child protection, known as PP Tunas.

The regulation includes restrictions on access for children under the age of 16 to high-risk digital platforms. The policy is scheduled to be implemented gradually starting on March 28, 2026.

“Here, they can find simple explanations about the policy as well as practical guidance that can be directly applied at home,” she said.

Conclusion

The government hopes that the presence of Tunasdigital.id will help create a safer digital environment for children while encouraging the development of a digitally literate generation that uses technology responsibly.
