INET Expands FTTH and Submarine Cable Networks to Accelerate Digital Transformation

1 week ago | Network Infrastructure

Jakarta, INTI - PT Sinergi Inti Andalan Prima Tbk (INET) is optimistic about the prospects for the national digital infrastructure industry entering the first half of 2026. The company is ready to accelerate measured strategic expansion driven by surging data traffic, accelerated digital transformation across sectors, and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as Wi-Fi 7, 5G network, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence (AI).

INET President Director, Muhammad Arif, stated that successfully navigating 2025 with a focus on strategic consolidation after the IPO has placed the company in a solid position.

"We view 2025 not merely as a year of growth, but as a momentum to strengthen our operational and governance foundations. Strengthening our domestic network and completing the network in the Jabodetabek region are now crucial for INET to respond to market opportunities more quickly, reliably, and efficiently," Arif said in an official statement on Friday, May 29, 2026.

Partnership with JMP for Submarine Cable

One of INET's strategic milestones for 2026 is strengthening international connectivity to meet the needs of Internet Service Providers and corporate customers. Through its subsidiary, PT Pusat Fiber Indonesia (PFI), INET has established a strategic partnership with PT Jejaring Mitra Persada (JMP) to develop the Submarine Cable Communication System (SKKL) connecting Jakarta, Batam, and Singapore.

Through an Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU) agreement, PFI obtained the right to use the submarine cable infrastructure on the Rising-8 route, specifically the Tanjung Pinggir (Batam)–Tanah Merah (Singapore) segment.

This step strengthens INET's portfolio of flagship services, including International IP Transit and IPLC (International Private Leased Circuit) services, which provide stable, secure, and high-capacity global connectivity routes; and Content Exchange (Peering and Content Delivery), which offers local and international content distribution with low latency to enhance the user experience.

INET’s Network Expansion

In the domestic segment, INET sees a wide-open fixed broadband market, particularly in cities (tier 2 and 3) and underserved suburban areas.

To support its massive network expansion, the company acquired PT Personel Alih Daya Tbk (PADA), a provider of technical manpower and managed services with 35,000 employees. PADA's integration into the group's ecosystem provides the backbone for meeting the human resource needs for FTTH (Fiber to the Home) network installation and maintenance, spanning Java, Bali, Lombok, and West Kalimantan.

Through its subsidiary, PT Garuda Prima Internetindo (GPI), INET is developing Wi-Fi 7-based FTTH services in strategic areas of Bali, Lombok, and West Kalimantan. This service targets end-users with the advantages of ultra-high speeds, stable connections, low latency, and the ability to support a modern smart home ecosystem.

Facing competition in a capital-intensive industry, INET affirms its commitment to sustainable growth through disciplined execution and project selectivity based on a measurable risk profile. Infrastructure reliability is also balanced with periodic improvements in HR competency so that the organization remains adaptive to the dynamics of future telecommunications technology.

Conclusion

PT Sinergi Inti Andalan Prima Tbk is optimistic about the growth of the digital infrastructure industry in 2026, with increasing data traffic, digital transformation, and the adoption of technologies such as Wi-Fi 7, 5G, cloud, and AI. INET is focusing on expanding international connectivity through cooperation in the development of the Jakarta-Batam-Singapore submarine cable that supports International IP Transit, IPLC, and low-latency content distribution services. In the domestic market, the company is targeting fixed broadband opportunities in the cities and suburban areas. Through its subsidiary PT Garuda Prima Internetindo, INET is also developing Wi-Fi 7 FTTH services in Bali, Lombok, and West Kalimantan.
