Google Launches Nano Banana Pro to Enhance Realistic Image Editing Accuracy by Late 2025

6 months ago | Artificial Intelligence

Jakarta, INTI – The growing demand for more realistic image editing technology has prompted Google to introduce a new solution during today’s global Gemini launch event. After receiving criticisms regarding older AI models that struggled to maintain consistent visual detail, Google has now responded with Gemini Nano Banana Pro, a new generation model claimed to be smarter and capable of producing visuals that more closely resemble the real world. This update brings fresh momentum for content creators, designers, and everyday users seeking editing tools that are fast, accurate, and easy to use.

The Popular Nickname Behind Google’s New Technology

Technically, Nano Banana is not the model’s official name. The term is a popular nickname retained by Google to represent the “going bananas” moment symbolizing user excitement when trying Google DeepMind’s newest editing features. The model’s official name is Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, which was first released in late August before being upgraded with the power of Gemini 3 Pro.

Enhanced Visual Reasoning and Multilingual Capabilities

Google claims that the Gemini 3-powered Nano Banana Pro now features improved visual reasoning and real-world understanding. As a result, the model can visualize information more effectively, grasp image context more deeply, and generate text that is more accurate and readable across multiple languages.

For example, when given the prompt: “Translate all English text on the three yellow and blue cans into Korean, but keep the visuals the same,” Nano Banana Pro successfully changed only the typeface and language without altering any other visual elements. This demonstrates a significant improvement in detail control something that earlier models found challenging to achieve.

Broader Understanding of Fonts, Textures, and Calligraphy

Nano Banana Pro also offers a more comprehensive understanding of various textures, fonts, and calligraphic styles. Users can take advantage of these capabilities to create interactive visuals, including expressive lettering and minimalist logos.

For instance, when prompted: “Create 8 minimalist logos with expressive words in dramatic lettering, styled as flat black vector designs on a white background,” the model was able to deliver accurate designs without distorting the visuals.

More Consistent Camera-Angle Manipulation and Image Composition

Beyond text and design comprehension, Nano Banana Pro can perform complex visual manipulation such as:

  • Changing camera angles
  • Shifting focus
  • Adjusting color gradients
  • Turning daytime scenes into nighttime
  • Adding bokeh effects

The model also supports combining multiple images into a single, consistent cinematic composition. In an example prompt involving furry characters in a dim, cinematic room, Nano Banana Pro maintained consistent textures, expressions, and lighting across the merged image.

Officially Available in Indonesia with Free Usage Quota

According to reports from international tech sources, Nano Banana Pro begins its global rollout today for the Gemini app, including availability for users in Indonesia. Free users will receive limited quota access to experience Gemini 3 Pro, while Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers will enjoy higher usage limits.

Google has also removed the watermark for AI Ultra subscribers, especially those working on professional projects. Meanwhile, regular users will still see the watermark but the Gemini app now includes the @SynthID extension, enabling users to verify whether an uploaded image was generated by AI.

Conclusion

The launch of Gemini Nano Banana Pro marks a major step forward for Google in delivering a more realistic, controlled, and creator-friendly visual AI experience. With its ability to understand text, process multi-angle imagery, and merge visuals cinematically, the model has strong potential to become a new standard in AI-powered image editing technology.
