Jakarta, INTI - The Bogor City Government is exploring potential collaboration with PT Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison to develop and strengthen its smart city ecosystem.
The initiative was discussed when Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim received a visit from PT Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison Director and Chief Business Officer Muhammad Buldansyah at Paseban Punta, Bogor City Hall, on Monday, September 21, 2026.
During the meeting, Muhammad Buldansyah expressed Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison’s interest in collaborating and innovating with the Bogor City Government to strengthen smart city implementation, which has become one of the city’s defining development priorities.
Buldansyah presented several smart city solutions and innovations that could support the government’s digital transformation, ranging from basic public services to systems such as smart street lighting and transportation management through a Transportation Command Centre (TCC).
“We can collaborate and innovate together to create a smarter city by integrating smart city implementation into a unified system that can help maximize the performance of government agencies. We have the solutions, but we believe the most appropriate solutions are those best understood by the Bogor City Government,” Buldansyah said.
Bogor Develops Technology-Based Command Centre
Responding to the presentation, Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim said the city government is currently developing a Command Centre as part of its efforts to strengthen technology-based governance.
Dedie instructed the Bogor City Communication and Informatics Agency and the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency to follow up on potential collaboration with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and explore opportunities that could be developed jointly.
“We are becoming more informed because there are indeed needs on our side, and this is an important opportunity. If Bogor City can become a strategic partner, we should not focus on the commercial aspect first. I have asked the Communication and Informatics Agency and the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency to follow this up. Once we start collaborating, we can identify more areas and modules for cooperation,” Dedie said.
Head of the Bogor City Communication and Informatics Agency Anna Ismawati added that Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has several programs that could support smart city implementation within local government.
“Indosat has introduced and presented various programs and solutions for building and strengthening smart city implementation. This provides an entry point for us to discuss areas that can be developed in synergy with Indosat in building a technology-driven smart city in Bogor, including through emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI),” Anna explained.
