Jakarta, INTI - The Badung Regency Government has praised Indosat Ooredoo’s SheHacks 2026 Intensive Workshop for strengthening the capabilities of women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Held at Hotel Made in Sempidi, Mengwi, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the program was recognized as supporting the local government's commitment to accelerating the digital transformation of MSMEs, enabling them to become more adaptive, innovative, and globally competitive.
AI Drives Digital Transformation for Women-Led MSMEs
Representing Badung Regent I Wayan Adi Arnawa, Badung Communication and Informatics Agency (Diskominfo) Secretary I Nyoman Wirnata said digital technologies, particularly AI, have become essential tools for businesses seeking to expand market reach and improve operational efficiency.
"On behalf of the Regent, we highly appreciate this workshop. In today's digital era, initiatives like SheHacks are crucial for helping MSMEs grow. AI offers practical solutions that enable entrepreneurs to manage and develop their businesses more effectively from anywhere. More importantly, it opens opportunities for local products to reach not only domestic consumers but also international markets," Wirnata said.
He added that Badung is home to a wide range of distinctive MSME products with strong potential to compete globally. Leveraging digital technology, he noted, will further strengthen the competitiveness of these local businesses.
"Badung's MSME products possess unique characteristics that distinguish them in the marketplace. Business owners should be confident in competing both nationally and internationally. As information technology continues to evolve, especially AI, our local products will have greater opportunities to reach customers across Indonesia and overseas," he said.
Digital Marketing Opens Wider Opportunities for Local Products
Meanwhile, Badung Cooperatives and MSMEs Agency Secretary I Made Wirya Santosa described SheHacks 2026 as an effective platform for expanding the market presence of local products through digital transformation. Despite the region's rich portfolio of high-quality MSME products, many remain underrecognized due to limited promotional efforts.
"Badung has tremendous local product potential. Many outstanding products remain hidden gems because they have not received sufficient exposure. Through digital marketing, especially in collaboration with Indosat, we hope these products will gain broader recognition. This initiative also encourages MSME owners to continue innovating so they can meet market demand and compete in larger markets," he said.
Wirya also observed that while most MSME owners are already familiar with digital devices and online platforms, they still need to maximize these technologies as strategic business tools.
"Today, MSME entrepreneurs use smartphones and digital platforms almost every day. The challenge is ensuring these technologies are fully utilized to grow their businesses. Through programs like SheHacks, we hope they can increase revenue, simplify business operations, create new opportunities, improve family welfare, and ultimately contribute to the economic growth of Badung," he concluded.
Conclusion
The SheHacks 2026 workshop highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in empowering women-led MSMEs to embrace digital transformation. By strengthening AI adoption and digital marketing capabilities, the initiative supports broader market access, encourages innovation, and enhances the long-term competitiveness of local businesses while contributing to inclusive economic growth in Badung.
