This situation pushed Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to seek an innovative solution to ensure transparency. On Thursday, September 11, 2025, Albania officially launched a historic step by appointing an artificial intelligence (AI) system named Diella as a virtual minister. This appointment is a concrete effort to guarantee that public tenders are conducted objectively and free from vested interests.
