Jakarta, INTI – Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi), Nezar Patria, emphasized that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in network monitoring can enhance the quality of mobile operator services during Eid 2025. AI technology enables more stable and faster network monitoring, allowing customers to enjoy reliable connectivity, especially from five days before Eid (H-5) to seven days after Eid (H+7).
Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison as a Pioneer
In a press statement on Wednesday, Nezar highlighted the initiative taken by Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) in implementing AI to maintain service quality. Indosat utilizes this technology through the Digital Intelligence Operations Center (DIOC) at its headquarters. This technology allows network monitoring and optimization along the Eid travel routes, covering more than 8,000 kilometers, as well as at strategic locations such as ports, train stations, and major travel routes.
AI as a Benchmark for the Telecommunications Industry
According to Nezar, Indosat’s approach can serve as a benchmark for other telecommunications providers in developing digital infrastructure and the telecommunications ecosystem in Indonesia.
“Indosat has demonstrated agility in adopting AI technology and collaborating with global technology partners. This strengthens the national digital ecosystem,” Nezar stated.
Collaboration Between the Government and Telecommunication Operators
To ensure the quality of telecommunication services during Eid 2025, Nezar emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and telecommunications providers. In addition to establishing joint monitoring posts with the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) and all mobile operators at key travel points, independent initiatives by mobile operators in utilizing AI technology for service monitoring are highly appreciated.
