Jakarta, INTI - PT Indonesia International Expo (IIE), the operator of the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, brought artificial intelligence (AI)-based technological innovation to PetFest 2026.
This innovation, in collaboration with PT AI Indonesia, was realized through the PetFest.AI platform, which supported the visitor experience during the event, held from May 1–3.
PetFest 2026 is one of the largest pet festivals in Indonesia, and this year's theme was Petropolis, a modern city designed specifically for pets. PetFest.AI is a WhatsApp-based platform designed to meet visitors' information needs quickly, accurately, and interactively.
PetFest.AI allowed tens of thousands of visitors to access a variety of important information in real time, including exhibitor information, products, and services available in the exhibition area, as well as daily schedules of activities, competitions, and educational activities during the event.
In addition, visitors received product and activity recommendations tailored to their individual preferences and utilized navigation features to facilitate mobility within the exhibition area.
The platform also provided a 24-hour two-way interaction between visitors and the AI system. The feature provided flexibility for visitors to access information whenever they need it, without being limited by event operating hours.
AI Innovation in Indonesia’s Event Industry
Margaretha Wijaya, Senior Manager of Event Creation and Partnership at IIE, stated that the presence of AI technology at PetFest 2026 was part of an effort to provide a new experience for visitors.
The use of AI has now become a part of people's lives, particularly in quickly accessing information directly from personal mobile devices.
Meanwhile, the CEO of AI Indonesia, Sony Subrata, considered the development of PetFest.AI to be one of the leading implementations of AI technology in the Indonesian events industry.
"The various features in PetFest.AI are unique and will continue to be developed to further enhance the AI's intelligence and expand the scope of accessible information," said Sony.
