The Midjourney V1 AI model functions by converting static images into five-second videos. Users can upload their own artwork or choose from AI-generated visuals within the platform. It offers two animation modes:
- Automatic: the system generates a video instantly from the image without needing any user input.
- Manual: users can describe their desired animation in text to guide how the video is rendered.
In addition, users can control the camera motion level, ranging from "low motion" for a calm effect to "high motion" for more dynamic scenes.
Video Length Can Be Extended to 21 Seconds
Although the default video duration is five seconds, users can extend the clip up to four times, adding four seconds each time. This allows for a maximum video duration of 21 seconds, which is ideal for short-form content such as social media reels or teaser clips.
