Jakarta, INTI - Linknet continues to strengthen Indonesia’s national digital infrastructure by optimizing its broadband services and expanding its fiber-optic network. The initiative aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts to improve connectivity equity and broaden digital access for communities and businesses.
As of 2026, the Indonesian government has developed more than 1.19 million kilometers of national fiber-optic networks. The infrastructure has reached 53,382 villages, or approximately 63.79% of Indonesia’s 83,687 villages, while Optical Distribution Point (ODP) deployment has covered around 43,233 villages.
Linknet Expands Fiber Network to Strengthen Digital Connectivity
Expanding digital infrastructure has become increasingly important as demand for stable, high-speed internet continues to grow. Linknet is responding through a business transformation focused on optimizing broadband services and gradually expanding its fiber-optic network, with the goal of delivering high-quality infrastructure for both residential and business needs.
These efforts are supported by strategic partnerships, including financing from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for broadband infrastructure development. Linknet said the investment is intended to accelerate the deployment of broader and more efficient fiber-optic networks while supporting the growth of Indonesia’s digital ecosystem.
Linknet’s network expansion is also reflected in its achievement of 5 million home-passed locations across strategic areas of Indonesia. The milestone is supported by an expansion strategy centered on partnerships, including Build-to-Suit (B2S) and data analytics-based Open Access approaches. These strategies enable network development to better respond to market demand while maximizing the long-term utilization of digital infrastructure.
With coverage exceeding 5 million home-passed locations across more than 70 cities and regencies, Linknet continues to strengthen its role as a technology infrastructure provider through three core business lines: Linknet Fiber, Linknet Enterprise, and Linknet Media.
The network expansion forms part of Linknet’s purpose, “We LINK the nation for better lives,” with a focus on delivering reliable connectivity while supporting the digital needs of communities and businesses and contributing to Indonesia’s economic development.
Conclusion
Linknet’s continued investment in broadband and fiber-optic infrastructure highlights the growing importance of reliable digital connectivity in Indonesia. With more than 5 million home-passed locations across over 70 cities and regencies, supported by strategic partnerships and data-driven expansion, Linknet is positioning itself to help accelerate Indonesia’s digital transformation and expand access to high-quality connectivity.
