Jakarta, INTI - PT ITSEC Asia Tbk is expanding its business into artificial intelligence (AI) and software development as part of its strategy to strengthen its technology business foundation. This move received shareholder approval at the general meeting of shareholders held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
President Director of ITSEC Asia, Patrick Dannacher, stated that this expansion aligns with the changing landscape of the cybersecurity industry, which increasingly relies on AI-based technology and platforms.
"For years, the cybersecurity industry has grown through services. We believe the next phase will be determined by companies' ability to develop AI-based intellectual property," said Patrick.
He believes that in the future, customers will need not only cybersecurity services but also technology that can adapt quickly to evolving digital threats. Through this expansion, ITSEC Asia broadens its business scope to include software publishing, AI-based programming activities, data processing, and software and computer trading.
Patrick added that this transformation is part of a long-term strategy that has been underway for the past few years through increased investment in research and development.
"Shareholder approval provides a stronger foundation for us to accelerate the commercialization of innovation, expand technology-based revenue sources, and bring cybersecurity innovations from Indonesia to regional and global markets," he explained.
High Margin Potential for the Company
In terms of projections, the software-based and recurring revenue business model is considered to have high margin potential. Based on an independent feasibility study, this business is projected to generate an average gross profit margin of 74% and a net profit margin of around 55% in the 2026–2031 period.
To support the implementation of this strategy, ITSEC Asia has prepared an initial investment of approximately Rp11 billion, which will be funded from the company's internal cash flow.
With this expansion, ITSEC Asia confirms its transformation into a cybersecurity technology company that relies on intellectual property development and AI as drivers of long-term growth.
