Jakarta, INTI - PT Indosat Tbk (Indosat or IOH; IDX: ISAT) announced the results of its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS), marking a new growth phase driven by the acceleration of its AI North Star strategy and the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable value for shareholders.
Despite macroeconomic challenges throughout 2025, Indosat demonstrated resilience through disciplined business execution and a focused strategic direction while strengthening the foundation for long-term value creation.
“At Indosat, we believe every progress must create broader and more meaningful impact. Our focus remains clear, accelerating disciplined AI strategy execution to drive sustainable growth and deliver tangible value to shareholders, including through dividend distribution,” said Vikram Sinha in a statement released in Bandar Lampung on Wednesday.
According to Vikram, Indosat continues to accelerate its AI North Star ambition to become a key force in advancing artificial intelligence by empowering Indonesia through a fully integrated AI ecosystem.
The transformation begins with Indosat’s evolution into an AI-native telecommunications company by embedding AI across its core operations. This includes delivering hyper-personalized customer experiences, improving productivity, and optimizing capital expenditure efficiency. The strategy has strengthened customer engagement while supporting sustainable double-digit growth.
Indosat is also expanding beyond traditional connectivity services into an AI TechCo model, unlocking new growth opportunities in sovereign AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. With core capabilities already established, the company is now entering an expansion phase aimed at driving exponential growth in AI-based services across both consumer and enterprise segments.
Strategic Partnership with NVIDIA Expands AI Ecosystem
A major milestone in this strategy is Indosat’s strategic partnership with NVIDIA, announced during NVIDIA GTC 2026, alongside the launch of Sahabat-AI as part of broader efforts to develop Indonesia’s AI ecosystem.
Through the collaboration, Indosat leverages NVIDIA’s Accelerated Computing platform and Nemotron open AI models to bring world-class AI capabilities to Indonesia. The initiative supports the development of high-performance solutions tailored to local needs while laying the foundation for an open, adaptive, and nationally aligned sovereign AI ecosystem.
Built on this foundation, Sahabat-AI serves as a collaborative platform designed to expand access to artificial intelligence. The platform enables individuals, developers, enterprises, and institutions to create and implement AI solutions that align with Indonesia’s language, cultural context, and market needs.
To ensure inclusive access at scale, Indosat is also developing a distributed AI Grid by utilizing its nationwide network coverage and data center infrastructure to distribute AI computing power across Indonesia.
This approach accelerates AI accessibility, encourages innovation beyond major cities, and enables developers, businesses, and communities throughout Indonesia to actively participate in the AI-driven economy.
Through this integrated strategy, Indosat continues transforming into an “AI Nation Shaper,” strengthening Indonesia’s digital capabilities while creating sustainable new growth engines.
Strengthening Leadership and Shareholder Value
As part of the AGMS decisions, shareholders approved the appointments of Reski Damayanti, Apoorva Mehrotra, and Honesti Basyir to the Board of Directors, effective immediately after the meeting’s closure.
Shareholders also approved the appointment of Seppalga Ahmad as Commissioner of the company, strengthening Indosat’s ability to execute its strategy with greater agility and discipline.
Reski Damayanti brings more than two decades of experience in legal affairs, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance across telecommunications and FMCG industries in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. She is expected to strengthen governance frameworks and support AI-based regulatory initiatives such as anti-spam and anti-scam solutions.
Apoorva Mehrotra contributes over 25 years of international leadership experience across Asia and Africa, with a strong track record in telecommunications and digital transformation. He previously held strategic roles at Airtel and Vodafone, including Regional CEO East Africa at Airtel Africa.
Meanwhile, Honesti Basyir brings more than two decades of experience in telecommunications and strategic industries, and is expected to accelerate Indosat’s AI transformation agenda.
The AGMS also approved the honorable discharge of Ahmad Zulfikar as Director and Achmad Syah Reza as Commissioner. The company expressed appreciation for their contributions and dedication during their tenure.
Reflecting its solid financial performance and continued commitment to shareholders, the AGMS approved a total dividend distribution of Rp3.57 trillion, equivalent to Rp111 per share. The dividend will be distributed no later than 30 days after the official publication of the meeting’s resolutions.
Conclusion
PT Indosat Tbk continues to strengthen its position as a key player in Indonesia’s digital and AI transformation through its AI North Star strategy, strategic global partnerships, and nationwide AI infrastructure development. By expanding beyond connectivity into AI-driven services, sovereign AI, cloud, and cybersecurity, Indosat aims to accelerate inclusive digital innovation while creating sustainable long-term value for both customers and shareholders.
