Jakarta, INTI – PT Digital Forensic Indonesia (DFI) has officially launched the Indonesia Cyber Crime Combat Center (IC4), a digital service designed to help the public prevent and address cybercrime. The application is accessible through its official website and is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
The launch of IC4 marks a concrete step in combating the rise of online crimes, such as fraud and phishing, which are increasingly prevalent in Indonesia. During a press conference on February 25, 2025, IC4's CEO and Founder, Ruby Alamsyah, explained that the app provides various essential features that allow users to detect and report cybercrime cases.
IC4 offers ten main features to help users tackle cyber threats, including:
According to the data from the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), the cekrekening.id service received 572,000 fraud-related reports between 2017 and 2024, with total losses reaching trillions of rupiah. This highlights the crucial role of IC4 as a reporting and prevention platform for cybercrime.
Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital, Nezar Patria, welcomed the launch of IC4 and emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in ensuring digital security in Indonesia. "This is what we need to make the digital space safer, especially in protecting the public from cybercrime," Nezar stated.
Sulistyo, as a Deputy III for Cyber Security and Cryptography at the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), who viewed IC4 as a form of private sector cooperation in strengthening national cybersecurity. "Collaboration is not only needed in conventional spaces but also in cyberspace. The presence of IC4 is proof of this," said Sulistyo.
IC4 also receives full support from Komdigi and BSSN, enabling the app to access crucial data for detecting and handling cyber threats swiftly and effectively. Ruby Alamsyah acknowledged that without the backing of these institutions, IC4 would not be as efficient as it is today.
IC4 is free to download and can be used by individuals and corporations to enhance their digital security. Businesses with large customer bases can also utilize IC4 to protect client data and prevent potential data breaches.
Users simply need to copy and paste a suspicious bank account number, phone number, or link into the IC4 app to verify its safety. Within less than a minute, the system provides verification results, helping users avoid cyber threats.
With the launch of IC4, it is hoped that digital literacy among the public will improve, fostering a safer and more trustworthy digital ecosystem. Ruby emphasized that IC4 also aims to eliminate the "no viral, no justice" stigma by providing a fast and accessible reporting platform for the public.
Through this innovation, IC4 is expected to become a frontline defense against cybercrime in Indonesia while raising public awareness about the importance of protecting personal data in the digital era.
