Google Integrates Its AI Model into Workspace Apps

Jakarta, INTI - Google integrates its artificial intelligence (AI), Gemini, into Google Workspace. The update is applied to Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive for professional users’ document creation convenience.

The update uses the Gemini 3.1 Pro model, which introduces powerful reasoning capabilities using a mixture-of-experts architecture that enables AI to understand images and audio. It can also navigate through large volumes of documents.

Different Functions on Google Workspace Apps

On Google Docs, users can utilize Gemini to create document drafts with relevant data sourced from their Gmail, Drive, and other web sources. Other functions include document editing and writing style adjustments.

For Google Slides, the Gemini model can create professional presentation containing data, ideas, and visual adjustments matching the user's style or company's image.

As for Google Sheets, the model functions include organizing or editing sheet files and analyzing basic or complex data. On Google Drive, the model can give information overview or summary of documents inquired by users.
