Elnusa Petrofin Utilizes GPS and AI-Based System to Monitor B50 Industrial Biodiesel Distribution

5 hours ago | Artificial Intelligence

Jakarta, INTI - PT Elnusa Petrofin (EPN), a subsidiary of PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA), has begun distributing B50 Industrial Biodiesel from Indonesia Bulk Terminal’s fuel terminal in Pulau Laut, South Kalimantan. The initial distribution of B50 Industrial Biodiesel is part of its support for the government's program to increase domestic energy use and strengthen national energy security.

To improve the security and reliability of this distribution, EPN is improving its operational digitalization by developing an artificial intelligence (AI)-based system. This system is being implemented to strengthen energy distribution monitoring and improve operational efficiency.

Improving Monitoring System

President Director of EPN, Doni Indrawan, stated that the company wants to ensure that every energy distribution is supported by a reliable system, competent human resources, continuously evolving technology, and a commitment to safety and sustainability.

One of the technologies developed is Road Traffic Control (RTC). This system utilizes the Global Positioning System (GPS) and AI-based cameras to monitor distribution fleets in real time. The RTC technology will monitor vehicle position, driver condition, speed limit compliance, and detect potential route deviations during the distribution process.

The company also developed a Remote Asset Daily Activity Recorder (RADAR). This technology is used to monitor operational activities while maintaining asset integrity, especially in remote areas and locations requiring special supervision.

The use of digital technology is part of the company's strategy to strengthen operational excellence and implement Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards.

Conclusion

PT Elnusa Petrofin has begun distributing B50 Industrial Biodiesel from the fuel terminal in Pulau Laut, South Kalimantan. To support this distribution and strengthen its operational digitalization, the company is developing Road Traffic Control (RTC) that utilizes GPS and AI cameras to monitor distribution fleets in real-time and Remote Asset Daily Activity Recorder (RADAR) to monitor operational activities and assets in remote areas. These innovations are aimed at improving security, operational efficiency, and the implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards.
