Jakarta, INTI - PT Bukit Muria Jaya (BMJ), in collaboration with iForte Energi, officially installed a rooftop solar power plant (PLTS) with a total installed capacity of 5.5 MWp located at BMJ's production facilities in Karawang, West Java, and Kudus, Central Java.

The PLTS consists of a 5,048 kWp installation at the Karawang facility and a 455 kWp installation at the Kudus facility. Overall, the system is capable of generating 7,596 MWh of electricity per year and contributing to a reduction in carbon emissions of up to 6,836 tons of CO2 annually, equivalent to the environmental benefits of planting approximately 151,918 trees.

BMJ Sustainability Lead Harris C.A Titus stated that this project represents a concrete step for the company in integrating sustainability aspects into its long-term growth strategy across all company operations.

"The inauguration of this rooftop solar power plant demonstrates our commitment to delivering more efficient and environmentally responsible operations," said Harris on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

"We believe that investing in renewable energy not only benefits the environment but also strengthens companies' competitiveness in facing future industrial challenges," he added.
