Jakarta, INTI - AiMOGA Robotics, the robotics subsidiary of Chery Group, is exploring opportunities to collaborate with Indonesian universities on embodied intelligence technology.
The initiative was discussed at the Indonesia-China Education-Industry Collaboration Summit 2026, held at Grha Diktisaintek in Jakarta on Thursday, September 10, 2026, as reported by Otomotif.
The event brought together around 200 representatives from nearly 100 Indonesian universities and more than 20 Chinese companies. During the forum, AiMOGA showcased its quadruped robot, Argos, which can interact directly with students and academics through voice commands.
The education-industry collaboration forum was organized to strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Indonesia and China. Key areas of focus included innovation development, job creation, and the advancement of scientific and technological research.
Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Prof. Stella Christie emphasized that research cooperation and talent development are crucial for both countries. She also highlighted artificial intelligence (AI) as one of the key drivers of global economic growth.
AiMOGA Explores Robotics and AI Collaboration with Universities
AiMOGA Indonesia Director Yuri Yin said the demonstration of Argos was aimed at introducing embodied intelligence while exploring its potential applications in the education sector.
“Universities play an important role in the development of embodied intelligence, not only as places where the technology is introduced but also as environments for research, talent development, and exploring practical applications. Through this forum, we aim to create more opportunities for collaboration with Indonesian universities so that students and academics can directly learn about, study, and explore this technology,” Yuri Yin said.
Yuri added that participants’ interactions with Argos sparked strategic discussions about the technology’s potential real-world applications. AiMOGA is also open to research partnerships and robotics talent development initiatives.
“AiMOGA is open to exploring various forms of collaboration with Indonesian universities, ranging from educational activities and technology introduction to research cooperation and talent development in robotics and artificial intelligence. We also see opportunities to jointly explore how embodied intelligence can be applied in various real-world scenarios,” Yuri said.
Expanding AiMOGA’s Robotics Presence in Indonesia
The appearance of Argos at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology forum follows AiMOGA’s recent expansion in Indonesia through the launch of its first AiMOGA Experience Store at Agora Mall in Central Jakarta on September 9, 2026.
The store features the Mornine humanoid robot and Argos, offering the public and industry stakeholders an opportunity to experience AiMOGA’s robotics technology.
