Jakarta, INTI - Yayasan Perempuan Laju Perkasa organized an Artificial Intelligence (AI) training program titled “Women Empowered, Courageous, and Skilled” to help Indonesian women develop their abilities and skills in the digital era.
Chairwoman of the foundation, Hetty Andika Perkasa, said the initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to empowering women amid the rapid growth of digital technology.
“This program is part of Perempuan Laju Perkasa’s commitment to encouraging women to become more empowered in today’s digital era,” she stated.
The training program was conducted in collaboration with FBPWI and ICT Watch.
The event brought together women from diverse backgrounds, including teenagers, homemakers, and professionals.
Participants Learned AI Knowledge and Practical Skills
The training covered in-depth introductions to AI, how to create effective AI prompts, hands-on practice using AI features, and interactive quizzes aimed at expanding AI-based digital literacy.
Hetty expressed hope that the program would provide participants with knowledge and inspiration to use AI wisely and productively for positive purposes.
“Through this training, we hope to provide knowledge and inspiration so that we can all become wiser and more skilled in utilizing AI for positive and productive activities,” she said.
Executive Director of ICT Watch, Indriyatno Banyumurti, welcomed the AI training initiative and described it as highly beneficial for women and students.
“It is a source of pride for ICT Watch to be here among all of you. This collaboration prioritizes AI education for women in Indonesia,” he said.
Participants Say AI Supports Daily Activities and Work
One participant, Tuti Marwati, said she gained valuable insights from the training, including the importance of parental supervision over children’s gadget and social media use.
She also learned how to create songs using AI tools available online.
“Now I understand how to use AI, even to the point of creating my own songs. For me, that is an incredible achievement. AI can also help with work tasks such as meeting transcription, which is very useful for my job,” she explained.
