Nusantara Command Center: The Heart of Security and Oversight in the Nusantara Capital

Jakarta, INTI - The 79th Independence Day celebration of the Republic of Indonesia in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) marked a historic moment for the nation. For the first time, the celebration was held in the new administrative center, supported by a joint operation led by the Nusantara Command Center. This command hub was designed to ensure effective and efficient cross-agency coordination.

According to Adhiguna Mahendra, Director of Data and Artificial Intelligence at the IKN Authority, the Independence Day celebration in IKN is a testament to the government's commitment to utilizing technology for national interests. "The Nusantara Command Center is the control hub overseeing every activity from start to finish, ensuring that any potential issue is addressed promptly," he explained.

The success of the celebration was the result of collaboration among various national agencies. From the State Secretariat, which ensured the smooth execution of state protocols, to the National Police and TNI, who were responsible for on-site physical security. The security system they used was equipped with Video Analytics technology, which was directly connected to the command center to monitor crowds and other security threats.

Beyond physical security, the National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN) ensured that cybersecurity was a top priority. "Cybersecurity is crucial in this digital age. BSSN worked tirelessly to protect the information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure from attacks that could disrupt the event," Adhiguna added.

Moreover, BNPT played a role in anticipating any potential terrorist threats during the event. They closely collaborated with the National Police and TNI to close off any possible gaps for terrorist attacks.

The technical success of the event was also due to the support of Telkom and Icon PLN, who ensured smooth connectivity and power supply. Adhiguna emphasized that both companies worked at full capacity to support the Nusantara Command Center and all communication devices in use.

Additionally, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) played a key role in ensuring that physical infrastructure, such as roads and bridges in IKN, was in optimal condition. This infrastructure was monitored in real-time through integrated systems at the Nusantara Command Center.

With full support from various national agencies, the Nusantara Command Center emerged as a command hub capable of addressing every on-ground challenge, ensuring that the Independence Day celebration in IKN went smoothly and without a hitch. "This is concrete proof that Indonesia is ready to face future challenges with technology and solid cross-sector collaboration," Adhiguna concluded.
