Indonesia's Digital Future: Menkominfo Spearheads National Digital Integration

11 months ago | News

Jakarta, INTI – In a move to fast-track Indonesia's digital revolution, the Minister of Communication and Information Technology (Menkominfo), Budi Arie Setiadi, has reaffirmed the government's commitment to implementing Presidential Regulation No. 82 of 2023. This regulation focuses on accelerating digital transformation and integrating national digital services (PTKLDN) to create a more cohesive digital landscape.

"The government is fully committed to promoting the implementation of this regulation through the establishment of a strong Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)," stated Minister Budi Arie Setiadi during the limited release of INA Digital on Monday, 30 September 2024.

According to the Minister, three main pillars are critical to achieving seamless and efficient digital services: Digital ID, Data Exchange Platform, and Digital Payment. Digital ID ensures secure identity management and data protection, while the Data Exchange Platform facilitates easy integration between services by acting as an information highway. Digital Payment, on the other hand, offers citizens the ability to make instant and secure transactions.

"Gradual and limited releases of INAKU, INAGOV, and INAPAS are underway as part of the integrated digital identity and national portal ecosystem," Budi Arie continued.

INAKU is a national public service portal, offering streamlined access to various public services. INAGOV is a national administrative portal, designed to simplify Civil Servant (ASN) management by integrating multiple digital services.

"Meanwhile, INAPAS functions as an integrated identity service, providing electronic identification, authentication, and authorization for government services," the Minister elaborated.

The PTKLDN regulation is also driving cross-ministerial collaboration to further integrate government service applications. INAKU and INAGOV are now key components within the National Data Center (PDN) and the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) framework.

"The development of this ecosystem aims to provide a user-centric, efficient, and integrated approach to public and government administration services, focusing on convenience, security, and personalization for both the public and civil servants (ASN)," explained Menkominfo.

The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology is responsible for developing application and infrastructure domains to accelerate the integration of national digital services. Menkominfo detailed several major initiatives carried out by the Ministry, including the Government Service Hub System (SPLP), Government Intranet (JIP), National Portal, and the National Data Center (PDN).

"In terms of infrastructure, SPLP now covers 61% of 629 institutions, achieving a 99.5% Service Level Agreement (SLA) over the past two years. JIP, meanwhile, acts as a closed interconnection network linking central government bodies with regional administrations," said the Minister.

The Minister also noted that 98 of 109 ministries, agencies, and local governments are now connected via JIP. The National Data Center (PDN), meanwhile, serves as the backbone of the SPBE, enabling the integration of business processes, data and information, infrastructure, applications, and security.

These efforts align with the broader goal of building a digital government ecosystem in line with the Vision of Digital Indonesia (V-I-D) 2045. This vision seeks to create integrated, responsive, and efficient public services.

"Our collective efforts in this direction will not only accelerate national digital transformation but also contribute to Indonesia's Digital Vision for 2045, promoting a prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable future," Minister Budi Arie concluded.
