Collaboration Between IT Del and Cyberbit to Develop Cybersecurity Talents

Jakarta, INTI - The rise in cybercrime, including hacking, wiretapping, data branches, and the misuse of personal information, underscores the urgent need for strong cybersecurity measures in today’s digital age. As cyber threats grow increasingly sophisticated, the demand for highly skilled professional capable of countering these challenges has never been greater.

Recognizing this need, the Institut Teknologi Del (IT Del) has forged a strategic partnership with PT Nusantara Siber Kreasi (Cyberbit) to cultivate high-quality talents in the field of cybersecurity.

This collaboration aims not only to enhance students’ academic competencies but also to equip them with practical skills to tackle real-world cybersecurity challenges.

Key Initiavtives of the Partnership

As an initial step in this partnership, Cyberbit has provided five Not For Resale (NFR) licenses for the Cyberbit Cyber Range training platform to IT Del.

These licenses grant access to lecturers, instructors, and students for comprehensive cybersecurity training, covering everything from fundamental theories to real-world cyberattack simulation scenarios.

The training modules include Cyber Range Training, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Threat Hunting.

High Commitment to Improve Cybersecurity

Rector of IT Del, expressed his optimism about the partnership, stating, “With the Cyber Range platform, we are confident in producing exceptional talents who can contribute to strengthening cybersecurity at both national and global levels. “

This initiative align with the vision of Yayasan Del, the foundation overseeing IT Del, which was established by Luhut B. Pandjaitan with the mission of making IT Del a leading hub for technology and cybersecurity education.

Director of Cyberbit, Suwandy Wijaya, also emphasized the importance of realistic and immersive training experiences.

"This collaboration marks an important step in talent development and strengthening Indonesia’s cybersecurity ecosystem. We want to ensure that participants not only understand theoretical concepts but also gain hands-on experience in dealing with increasingly complex cyber threats," Suwandy stated.

E-sport Cybersecurity Competition

In addition to training, this partnership also includes an E-Sport Cybersecurity competition, supported by Cyberbit. This initiative is designed to sharpen students' skills in tackling various cyber threat scenarios in a competitive environment.

Through hands-on labs and practical approaches, participants will face real-world challenges that test their speed, accuracy, and strategies in handling cyberattacks.

This program not only strengthens students’ academic and practical capabilities but also serves as a treatment to the power of collaboration between educational institutions and the private sector in driving innovative solutions tailored to the industry’s evolving needs.

Conclusion

The collaboration between Institut Teknologi Del (IT Del) and PT Nusantara Siber Kreasi (Cyberbit) highlights their shared commitment to developing top-tier cybersecurity talent capable of addressing the growing complexity of digital threats. Through the provision of Cyberbit Cyber Range NFR licenses, IT Del students, lecturers, and instructors gain access to cutting-edge training and real-world attack simulations. The addition of the E-Sport Cybersecurity competition further enhances this initiative by providing a competitive platform for skill development.

This strategic partnership not only strengthens Indonesia’s cybersecurity ecosystem but also demonstrates how synergy between academia and industry can create innovative, future-ready solutions.
